Located in the lush forested area of Green Country,
this modern campground, near the Oklahoma/Arkansas
state line, welcomes you with flying
flags, beautifully manicured grass and mature
trees. Only 1/2 mile south of I-40 and easily
accessible by even the largest of RV's, this
campground is a picturesque place to return after
experiencing the excitement at area casinos or horse
racing at Blue Ribbon Downs. For family fun head to
this KOA's full-sized pool or rec area, throw
horseshoes, toss a Frisbee or fish for bass and
catfish in the catch-and-release pond. A climate
controlled gathering room handles reunions and
rallies of up to 50 people. |

Within a mile
of the campground, 14
restaurants offer a medley of food for everyone. Nearby
Fort Smith, AR offers numerous activities and historic
sites. Fort Smith National Historic Site, Hanging Judge
Parker's Courtroom, and the US National Cemetery are just a
few. Don't miss Miss Laura's Visitor Center (the only
former bordello to be on the National Register of Historic
Places). Adjoining Fort Smith is historic downtown Van
Buren, well known for its antique shops and craft stores.
While there, you may want to board an authentic 19th century
railroad passenger car for a trip through the scenic Ozark
mountains.
If you're
looking for your home away from home, or just looking to get
away from home, Sallisaw/Fort Smith West is the private,
peaceful campground for you. The owners, Terry and Sandy
Hays, are here to welcome you with a smile and a gracious
greeting. We can't wait to show you our campground. The
campers here say it's Nice, Very Nice.
